The Ideal Woman

I wrote this some time ago, and have finally published it.  It is a personal expression and not intended to be a general statement for others.  I went very deep to find this within myself.

 The Ideal Woman

Who are you who offers me so much?

Love with no bottom.

Loyalty to the core.

Desire for our union.

A woman with whom I can be in silence,

Exchanging glances, feelings from across a room.

Who chooses to be:

Strong but gentle,

Beautiful because of what is within,

With the protective spirit of a mother bear.

A woman who is a lady in public,

And a panther when we are alone,

A woman who joins me as we fly like eagles,

A woman who sees with the eyes of a red-tailed hawk,

A simple, uncomplicated woman,

Not a delicate and fragile crystal,

But strong and smooth, like jade.

Where can I find such a woman

Who can live with herself,

But would rather live with me;

Someone satisfied within herself,

And in love with me?

Someone to grow old with,

Who treats me like a pair of leather shoes,

Cleaning, oiling, preserving, protecting,

So that they last a long time,

Comfortable, soft, familiar

Who lets me treat her the same way.

For that woman I would dedicate my life.

For such a woman a man would risk his life.

It is a wise man

Who values highly such love.
